More Gold for Monson at the Summer Championships

RTW Monson Swimming Club attended the 2016 ASA Summer Championships in Sheffield. After a fantastic performance by the Monson athletes at the British Championships, coming away with multiple medalists, they headed the Summer Championships with momentum behind them.

Madeleine Burton had a great start to the meet in the 400m Individual medley, beating her seed time, going 5:18.46 and finishing 11th in her age group. Later on Madeleine finished 16th in the 200m Individual medley. Hannah Lambert had a great heat swim in the 100m butterfly going 1:08.60, and made the final. In the final she moved up a place, finishing in 8th place in a time of 1:08.39. After a successful British Championships Anna Leman swam in the 200m breaststroke, and finished 5th in the final with a personal best time of 2:44.99. 

Jemimah Berkeley had the stand out performance of the meet finishing first in the 50m breaststroke in the time of 34.18, to become 2016 national champion.
